Dr. Gregory Neilsen, DDS

Dr. Gregory Nielsen offers extensive experience, genuine compassion, and a strong dedication to patient-centered care. Originally from Northern Virginia, he spent many summers visiting family in Massachusetts—experiences that fostered a lasting connection to the New England community he’s proud to now call home.

Dr. Nielsen earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a minor in Spanish from the University of Virginia, and later graduated summa cum laude from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. While at BU, he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society, in recognition of his academic excellence.

He completed a two-year General Practice Residency at the University of Virginia Hospital, where he received advanced clinical training in oral surgery, sleep dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, and periodontics. A particularly meaningful aspect of his residency was working with the head and neck cancer team, helping patients prepare for radiation therapy—an experience that deepened his appreciation for the vital link between dental and overall health.

After residency, Dr. Nielsen returned to the Boston area and has since been providing comprehensive care in private practice. He is known for his thoughtful, individualized approach to dentistry, always taking the time to understand each patient’s unique needs and goals.

Outside the office, Dr. Nielsen lives in Boston and enjoys playing golf, basketball, and cycling. He’s also an avid reader of science fiction—so don’t hesitate to share your favorite book recommendations! Though he remains a loyal fan of Virginia sports, he admits that Boston’s teams are starting to win him over.

She has worked in a variety of practice settings throughout her career and now proudly serves a dual role as both a Registered Dental Hygienist and Office Manager.

Patient education is at the heart of Jen’s approach—she is passionate about helping patients understand their oral health and feel confident in their care. At the same time, her favorite motto is “Laughter is the best medicine,” and her warm, lighthearted demeanor makes every visit more enjoyable.

In addition to providing gentle, thorough cleanings, Jen is instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the practice. She is deeply committed to supporting the team, maintaining high standards, and fostering a welcoming, patient-focused environment at Seaport Family Dentistry.

Leticia, Lead Dental Assistant & Patient Experience Manager

Leticia brings over 28 years of experience in dentistry, serving as both a highly skilled Registered Dental Assistant and an exceptional administrative leader. Her ability to bridge clinical expertise with front office coordination ensures a seamless, supportive experience for every patient.

Bilingual in English and Spanish, Leticia is dedicated to helping patients feel at ease—clinically, emotionally, and financially. Whether she’s assisting chairside or managing treatment schedules and communication, Leticia’s calm, organized approach helps patients feel understood and cared for at every step.

Throughout her career, Leticia has worked across a wide range of dental settings, from general and cosmetic practices to orthodontics, earning a reputation for professionalism, compassion, and reliability. Her deep understanding of both clinical procedures and administrative systems allows her to support the practice with efficiency and heart.
